Q: What grades do you serve?

A: Before and After School Programs offer care for students in grades K - 8.

Q: Are the programs licensed?

A: Yes. All YMCARE and SCOPE programs are licensed by New Jersey's Office of Licensing of the Department of Children and Families.

Q: What is the staff/child ratio?

A: For the YMCARE Program, our ratio is 1:12. We strive to keep our ratios below the state requirements to insure a safe environment. All supervisors are DYFS qualified which means they are of a certain age, experienced, and perticipatein over 20 hours of training each year. All staff are First Aid/CPR/AED for the professional certified.

Q: Does my child have to attend every day?

A: No. Scheduling is flexible to meet your needs! Drop In Care is also available.

Q: What is Drop In Care?

A: Drop In Care is provided to those who need care on an as needed basis. Just register your child with the Hopewell Valley YMCA YMCARE program and when ever you need care, just call and let us know so we can notify the staff.

Q: Where are the programs located?

A: All YMCARE programs in the elementary schools are located in your child's elementary school cafeteria. 

A: The Timberlane Middle School Program is located in room B-19.

Q: What time does the program end?

A: Early Morning Care program ends at 8:30am and all After School Programs and Clubs end at 6:00pm.

Q: Is there care on half days?

A: Yes. Care is provided for regularly scheduled students on scheduled early dismissal days for no additional charge.

Q: Is there care on holidays and vacations when school is not in session?

A: The YMCA offers programing for these days through the SCOPE program. Please visit the SCOPE tab above for further details.

CAMP REIGN

Q: What grades do you serve?

A: Our camps are divided into groups by the campers grades. Our camp is currently open to students entering Kindergarten though eighth grade. Our LIT program is offered to 14-15yr old students looking to gain strength in their leadership values.

Q: Is the camp licensed?

A: Our Summer Camps are licensed with the State of New Jersey and are ACA ACCREDITED.

Q: What is ACA Accreditation?

A: ACA Accreditation is voluntary and it means our camp meets over 300 standards in health and safety, which allows us to provide a great camp environment for campers. Our staff is highly trained and ready to make summer a memorable one for every camper. The energetic staff will lead the campers in fun activities each day.
